Description
This Project Proposal is presented with the objective of carrying out a series of tests in a hydronic space heating system in a residential setting to verify:
- The introduction of a prescribed amount of EndoTherm additive to the water of a typical hydronic heating system increases the heat transfer properties of the water in the system, through the hydronic radiators.
- Energy (and therefore gas) consumption is reduced by up to a claimed 15%, when EndoTherm is added to the water of a typical hydronic heating system.
Scope
The scope of this demonstration projects is to validate the BKR Energy cloud platform in four Enbridge Gas employees’ homes. These homes are intentionally chosen in different locations in Ontario. Having participating homes scattered across Ontario, will clearly highlight the effectiveness of BKR cloud-based technology by running this technology in different geographical and weather conditions. In order to make more diversity, participating homes are selected based on various sizes and thermal characteristics.
